Breanna Suzanne

Most people are celebrating Halloween today, well the Duffey family is quite lucky because we also get to celebrate Breanna's Birthday! She is the BEST oldest sister anyone could ask for. The rest of this post will show you pictures of why Breanna is so fantastic.

She is the oldest of four daughters and embodies the oldest child role to a T. Thank goodness! The rest of us would not have survived without her nurturing and protection.

She is a sucker for anything cute. She saw these Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes and went and bought the ingredients the same day.

She can pedal a Surrey. Breanna is more adventurous than one may think. She loves trying new things.

She has the most patience in the world! 3 children don't stop her. This woman teaches 1st graders, in my book she is a saint.

She rocks pale skin like its no one's business.

She likes to boss JB around...yes this is happening at their wedding!

Happy Happy Birthday Breanna!!
We Love you!

Back to Business

This post is back to regular Holy Hannah's business. As usual I owe you a new ROTM. With all the birthday festivities and preparing for Vegas there has been zero baking done. So I have uploaded a new recipe for us all to try and then I will report back on how they turn out.

To get into the Autumn spirit I have been thinking about pumpkins. I LOVE pumpkins. I like to pick them, carve them, and even just look at them. I think they are pretty impressive.

I have chosen a Moist Pumpkin Spice Muffin (With Cream Cheese Frosting) recipe courtesy of the Pioneer Woman.

The recipe can be found on the Tasty Kitchen website here.

Happy Fall Baking everyone. See ya next week, hopefully I come home rich!

Birthday Cupcakes

For our mother's birthday bonanza celebration we picked up cupcakes from our favorite bakery in town Dorothy Ann. Breanna got her princess cake from here for her wedding and they have joined in celebrating all of our graduation parties plus many other events. They make delicious treats!

Our mother's favorite cupcake flavor from Dorothy Ann is the Chocolate Raspberry Chantilly Cupcake. And I cannot lie this cupcake is absolute heaven.

Other flavors we indulged in were red velvet, a lemon chantilly cupcake, marble, chocolate cream filled, and almond raspberry. They were all so tasty!

However, the most important part of the cupcakes was the topper we made. Happy 50th Birthday GRANDMA Sue!

Here is a close-up in case you missed it =]

Yep, that's right, our wonderful older sister Breanna and her husband Jon are expecting a little bundle of joy in May! WOOHOOO!

Now if you all can take a second and visualize my mother jumping up and down and pumping air fists this was her display of emotion at the Bingo hall. Needless to say the entire family is ecstatic!

As you all know, Breanna is quite crafty and loves to shares these special times in special ways. For each of her sisters Breanna decorated a onesie to share the news. I may be bias but mine is the cutest. =]

My Auntie Krista is the bomb.dot.com

My Auntie Emilee takes the cake!

My Auntie Bethany <3's me!

Hooray!!! We are all very very very excited and May 6th cannot come soon enough. This baby is going to be one spoiled cookie. =]

October

October is a busy family month for the Duffey family. Our mother's birthday is October 9th, mine is the 25th, and lucky Breanna gets to share her birthday with Halloween on the 31st.

This year is our mother's 50th birthday! Us girls decided to throw her a little surprise party at the Bingo Hall. You see our mother is obsessed with Bingo! We ended up having a fantastic turnout, 30+ people! Our mother was completely surprised and of course cried.

Here are some (I mean ALOT) of pictures from the party!

Our cousin Zack and his girlfriend Carey joined the festivities

Auntie Shannon and our little Grammy

Stan and Mr. Duffey

Dede, Krista, and Cheri

Jillian Rae, Theresa Lynn, and Auntie Barb

Auntie Patty, Auntie Joanie, Grandpa and Grandma

Gus and Kathy
Katy and Seanne

Bethany and Ellie

Krista and Mike

Me and Tyler

Kathy and Bethany really getting into the daubing spirit

Zack had his game face on

I am apparently really into my game. Very serious.

Mike wondering what he has gotten himself into

Auntie Barb - preparing herself for Vegas

Disclaimer - Yes, our mother was there, however we must not have taken her picture. Whoops!

We got pretty crafty and made a homemade t-shirt. Not the prettiest looking thing but it was quite witty. Tyler thought of the saying. On the front of the shirt it said Sue's 50th Birthday Bonanza (this is a Bingo term). On the back it said It's my party and I'll DAUB if I want to!

Krista also designed buttons for all of us to wear.

At the end of the week 20 of us are going to Vegas to celebrate our Mom turning 50! I cannot wait for a little vacation.

You are probably all wondering what we baked for the party. Well, I will admit it, we were lazy and decided to treat our mom to her favorite dessert ever. But that's a story for another post. Check back tomorrow!
