Basketball Pops

The last project for the wedding was some basketball pops. The Groom, Zack is a basketball coach and Gina thought it would be a nice touch for her husband. We kept with the same idea as upside down cake pops, dipped them in orange and added the lines that contour a basketball.

Holy Hannah's was so happy and grateful we could be apart of Gina's and Zack's special day. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to make your wedding dessert a success!

Wedding Cake

Project number two for the big wedding was a wedding cake. However, this wasn't your typical wedding cake, we could consider this more of a prop. Gina and Zack wanted a cake for picture sake not so much for cake sake. They had their hands full with all the cake pops. We constructed a three tiered cake out of styrofoam and covered it with fondant. Added some simple ribbon decoration at the bottom, fresh flowers cascading down the side, and a prominent V on top and we got ourselves a wedding cake.

Krista and I were quite pleased with the turn out of the cake. It made for some really beautiful pictures.

Slacking?

Yep, it's now the 19th of May and we have yet to post about our big order we did last weekend. We pretty much have been slacking...at least in the blogging world. But we've been crazy busy otherwise! We were able to give you a pity post about the bobber pops but I know you are all dying to see our wedding creations. This past weekend we completed our biggest order to date. Our good friend Gina was married to the love of her life Zack Vogelsberger...eh, um... I mean, Vogelsberg and the lovely event could not have been as successful without the addition of 396 cake pops. Yep, 396.

We ended up making cake pops (upside down) that looked like brides and grooms. I think we were anticipating these were going to be time consuming. However, we finished all 396 of them in good time and we didn't even argue!

Here is an upclose and personal look at both the Bride cake pops.

I think these Grooms are to die for! The little bow tie is too cute.

Krista and I were so happy with the results! This was just a portion of the goodies we made for the wedding. We had a couple other baking projects to attend to besides the 396 cake pop.

Happy Birthday Hack!

So during our blog hiatus, actually it was just more so during our preparation for 396 cake pops, we made bobber pops again in honor of our Uncle Hack's birthday. Hack is a big fisherman and hunter and our Aunt Ann thought these would be the perfect birthday treat. He was definitely surprised and extremely happy!

The Bobber Pop didn't stand a chance!

Happy Birthday Uncle Hack! Sorry this post is about 2 weeks late....Its the thought that counts, right? =]

May

Can you believe it's already May? I most certainly cannot! The weather in Minnesota has made it very difficult to believe. Hopefully this week will be the breaking point and the sunshine will come and stay.

May is a very busy month for us. We have baking business every week and Krista and I will both be traveling at the end of the month.

The Recipe of the Month has been updated - the new recipe being Monster Cookies. Please enjoy and check back with us to see all the fun things we will be baking in May.
